Feeling Like "Fall" Yet ??

Well, I got out of bed this morning and it was another hot, humid, Central Florida summer day. If you open a window or a door the steam rolls in at you and takes your breath away ! 
So my DH says to me tonight, "did you notice" the days are getting shorter ? Fall is coming".
No, I didn't notice....since it rains almost every afternoon it is sometimes hard to tell !


But, lately everyone on the Cricut Message Board seems to be gearing up for the Fall season, and I decided to get busy on some Fall swap items that I need to work on. I was able to produce a card which could be used for Thanksgiving, Halloween, or any Fall Day....Simply made with the "Pumpkin Harvest" embossing folder and the Cuttlebug 2 step Die Cut and Embossed pumpkin. I used some soft chalks on the background and colored in the vines and pumpkins with orange, brown, and greens. The Pumpkin harvest was embossed onto very heavy textured watercolor paper. Then I detailed the embossed pumpkin with Spectrum Noir pens. Added a stick pin that I made with Lampworks glass pumpkin bead and a couple of other plain green ones....deep forest green grosgrain ribbon bow. I layered simple rectangles on an ivory card using deep orange and forest green cardstock.
SO....looks like there will be a lot more Fall flavors coming up soon....my craft area is covered in Fall colors now !  (gotta get some of it off the floor !) Ha Ha !!
