Making A Mini-Album from a Toilet Paper Cardboard Roll !!

Hi Everyone !

About a year ago, I discovered what some people on You Tuber were calling " Toilet Paper Minis" and I thought this was a crazy idea !  I really had no clue as to what they were talking about, so I did a little research on the YouTube and the Cricut  Message Board, and found out that you can take those cardboard roller things from inside paper towels and TP, flatten them out and make the coolest miniature scrapbooks with them !  Since then I have made several, and here is a little peek at one I recently did for a partner in a swap on the Message Board.

My partner wanted something frilly and girly and that had Dragonflies on it and lots of "bling". I found a lovely brass Dragonfly at Hobby Lobby and added some rhinestones to him and mounted him on top of the album after covering the tube with papers from the "Secret Garden" Collection from Graphic 45. I also added a strip of Embossed Metal sheeting that I embossed with the Dragonfly folder from Sizzix. All of my pages are covered with papers from the Secret Garden collection 6x6 paper pad. The 6" papers are the perfect fit for the tubes...so there is little cutting needed. I glue them on using Scotch 3M Quick Dry Adhesive which I spread nice and evenly with a foam brush.

Each page was embellished and inside each flattened out "tube" I added a Tag with an eyelet and ribbon tie. Each tube has a lace ruffle around the outside edges. Each page has an Extra Large eyelet and then I fed the eyelets through a large "Key-Ring" type of binder ring and tied on some tulle to help hide the hardware.

Here are a few of the pages opened up for you to see...  Thanks for looking !
