Embossing Flower Patterns and Then Applying Color with Spectrum Noir Pencils !

Hi Everybody !

We have been super busy lately and I am a bit behind on my "Handiworks"  but here are a couple of things I worked on while we were traveling last week. Before leaving on a trip I embossed several pieces of that thick, super smmmmmmoooooooooth  Crafter's Companion card-stock with some images from my new Darice embossing folders, "Poppy Fields" and "Bold Daisy". These embossing folders are now on sale for only $3.49 in my Etsy shop !
I wanted to see how well I could color with the new Spectrum Noir pencils and practice blending colors. I had tried coloring embossed images with the alcohol markers, and because the embossed lines are more porous, I found that there was a tendency for the colors to absorb too quickly and sometimes leave a fuzzy line. Well, not so with the pencils !  I was amazed at how well it worked and blended. Here are a couple of photos of 2 samples I made, and I will definitely be working with this some more in the near future. These little images are destined to be card toppers soon !!
I am working on another one for the #3 in my "Meet Me In Paris" series....so stay tuned !!

' til next time...... Blessings to all of you !!   ~Barbara
