GIFT BAGS AND TAGS GALORE !! GRAPHIC 45 PAPERS and CRICUT CUTS MAKE THEM EASY !!

Hello My Crafty Friends ! Today I wanted share with you the gift bags and tags I made for my latest Cricut swap. My partner wanted a Father's day bag for her husband that reflected his Navy career, and 2 bags for her child's teachers - one for a music teacher and one for an elementary school teacher. So this is what I came up with. The bag for Dad was inspired by my Father-in-law who is a retired Navy Chief. One of his winter uniforms in black with Gold emblems and it always looked so handsome ! I decided to use the black and gold theme on a white bag to make a real "statement" instead of a traditional red, white and blue patriotic theme. I used the Cricut cartridge "STAND and SALUTE" (which is available in my Etsy shop) to cut gold foil cardstock into an air-craft carrier, anchors, and a sailor saluting...added some gold chain for the Anchors after putting eyelets in to prevent tearing. Also used that technique on the tag. Of course, it wouldn't be a Father's Day Bag without some reference to Dad, so I cut the message " World's Greatest Dad" from the Summer Celebrations cartridge (also in my shop) and glued it to the front of the bag. The star background was purchased from JoAnns and I think it was made by Bazzill but there was no name on it.

The School teachers bag was made using GRAPHIC 45's now retired collection of a Vintage School collection. I made a matching card and added some black & white striped ribbon , which just seemed to suit the colors in the pictures. and added some dimensional embellishments from Jessie's buttons and also a little red apple that I personally made with polymer clay and painted in red and green.

The music teachers bag and tag were made wit the "Great Performances" collection papers from DCWV. I just love this paper and it had everything I needed in the pad, except the corrugated paper spoke to me from somewhere inside my desk ( or was that in my head ?? !) and I rubbed some gold "Rub'n'Buff" on the edges of everything with a small sponge to add a little flair...Of course lots of ribbons and bows seemed to suit this one... So, there you have it ! I am real busy working on Father's Day and some upcoming Wedding cards that I will share with you next... I also wanted to let you know that I have temporarily suspended the Sunday night drawings, as I have trouble keeping up with everything lately and we don't get very many commentors. I hope to start again in the Fall with some new ideas on how to build our membership...thanks for understanding.

HAPPY CRAFTING !!          ~ Barbara
