Hi Everyone !!
I have had to take a little hiatus for a couple of weeks to try to catch up on some work at home and in the office. It took me over a month to recuperate enough from my fall on January 19th and be able to work. So, crafting has had to be put on the back burner somewhat.
I started thinking about making a few St. Patrick's Day cards (before it is too late !) for a few special people that I know. I didn't have a lot of Green card-stock to choose from and have not felt much like pulling out the Cricut machine. So, I decided to see what I could make without any fancy machines or die-cuts.
Believe it or not, I used mostly Anna Griffin's " Evergreen" CHRISTMAS papers to make this card and another that I will post when I am finished working on it. I found this cute little 2x3 cut-out card in the old Place In Time pages from Graphic 45 and began trying to get some inspiration ! The thing that came back to my mind the most was my mother singing " My Wild Irish Rose " when I was a child....she love the old songs. And, then I remembered I had this music score Vellum paper that was translucent. I then printed out the words to the song, and mounted them behind the music vellum. It gives it a nice shadowy effect. I also had a bunch of these 3-D white Roses from Anna Griffin and the rest fell in place. Lots of odds and ends in my embellishment drawer to add to the card. I am really pleased with the way it turned out, and only have to add a sentiment on the inside of the card.
I hope you like it and get a little inspired along with me !
Will be back soon with more ~ Irish Blessings to you ~ Barb
I loVe how your beautiful card turned out. Thanks for sharing.
