My card for this posting is a "disguised" Happy New Year card. I didnt put that on the card because this way it is more usable for an all occasion type if the recipient wishes to use it that way.
I used Grey Coredinations cardstock for the base, pure white Spectrum Noir stock for the stamped images and the inside mat.
Spectrum Noir from Crafter's Companion is the best stock I have ever found for stamping on a super smooth white surface. It takes the Alcohol Inks very well and barely has any bleed-through at all. I used the Cuttlebug "BROCADE WINDOW" die to cut the card topper and window and used super heavy Watercolor Paper for that. I hand-painted each stamped image with Spectrum Noir pens, and applied Snowflake Acetate sheets in the window from a company called HUNKYDORY (a British company). I then layered the window with foam tape so it would look like a snowfall under "glass". Added a few rhinestones to it for some "pop". I decided not to use a bow and cover up all the pretty embossing. I just love this Cut & Emboss die and I think it looks elegant. Sometimes keeping things simple is better. I always had a tendency to be pretty conservative on my designs, so it is more "me" this way.
So, I thank you as always for taking a few minutes out of your busy day to read my posting and look at what I have created..... Happy Christmas to you - Relax and enjoy the Season ! ~ Barb
