HAPPY HAUNTING with GRAPHIC 45 Papers and An ALTERED BOX !

Hi Everyone !

This week I am sharing an altered box I made for a partner on the Cricut MB using Graphic 45

Happy Hauntings papers and a little Steampunk Spells as well.

I used an 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" square wooden box with a hinged lid. I first painted it black, and then began to adhere papers from the "Happy Haunting" collection. My partner likes birds, so I thought using an Owl for the basic theme would be nice for her. I had a left-over 8x8 paper pad, so it was perfect for the coverings. On the top, I used a page which features owls in the trees and a haunted house in the background. I used 2 of these pages, one for the base, and the second page I "fussy cut" out the owls, the "Happy Halloween" greeting, and the fencing. THese elements were adhered with foam dots for dimension, after being coated with GLOSSY ACCENTS for more 3D look and shine. I used Stickles in lots of places, especially to light up the Moon and the Haunted house using Yellow stickles for a glow.

I found this adorable stuffed owl, complete with feathers, and glued him to the top along with some more black feathers, ribbons,a watch face and a few other small elements/charms.
Inside the lid and bottom are also G45 papers....(I also garnered a few pieces from the Steampunk Spells" collection as some of you will notice) I found a Halloween card at a store that had a Sound Module in it that "screams" and I popped it inside of the lid so there are Sound Effects in the box.
I added Tim Holtz metal ornate feet to the bottom of the box, Tim Holtz ornate metal corners, which were all rubbed with Antique Gold antiquing wax, and rubbed some it along the top and sides of the black painted areas on the edges of the box as well.
I filled her box with lots of "bird" and owl elements and embellishments for her, and a package of dinner napkins with a lovely Fall Owl in the trees design printed on them.
